Sending iPhone for repair

Just curious to know how o2 deal with the repair procedure as I sent my iPhone away on the 12th paying the extra cost for it to get sent Next Day delivery (the lady at the post office assured me it'll arrive at the destination for 1pm on Friday) However - o2 are saying that they still haven't received it??

Am I winding myself up thinking my phone has gone missing? Or are there delays in the post office side that I'm unaware of? I stupidily lost my tracking receipt so I can't even find where it's at.

you can see if royal mail has any issues here http://www.royalmail.com/help-and-support/service-updates but I have used sd many times and only once was there an issue and that was the address label was damaged in sorting so it was returned to me a day later full refund and free postage when I retured to send it later.

You are in trouble without your receipt as if it has gone missing you have nothing to claim against.
Your only hope is that it's just delayed in the Christmas post and that it turns up.
Really you should have dealt directly with Apple though...... You could have gone in store and walked out with a replacement phone if still under warranty.

The o2 repair service is noted for its poor service level (many threads)

 

And we always iphones are taken to an apple store or even use the apple mail in service.

Thanks, guys. I truly am kicking myself right now. I've just now been reading a lot about the o2 service and how they deal with situations as such.

I guess I'll have to bide my time and see if they eventually get it. Fingers crossed!

I'm wondering if the post office have duplicate receipts.

The reason i say this is that my workplace buys stamps at a £1,000 per time and the member of staff lost the receipt.

He went back to the post office and supplied the time and date he visited and they checked their records and managed to print another.

That's good to know!  (Not sure I'd ask in my Post Office though as they are a bit scary!)
