Can anyone help me, I have a strange text message number from one of my phones, the family member who's phone it is on has no idea what it is and has said they haven't sent any messages to that number.

the number is 0012674165659 and the cost is £0.292.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@Anonymous 001 is the country code for the USA. Please take a look at the link provided by @Anonymous, and as you and members of your family are unfamiliar with that number, block it on the phone it came in on.

Hi, yes they have access to social media.

I have now looked up the number and it says it is located Harleysville, Philadelphia.

So if it is to do with social media, who the person have text the number and where would you find it on a social media site?

I'm not quite sure if the person is telling me the truth.  I have located the number to Harleysville, Philadelphia.  I'm still looking for information on the phone number, some sites say its a scammer and some say its a normal landline.

The number is showing on the bill, therefore, the phone sent the message.
It really is that simple.
The person may not have been aware of it, but they did it.
