So, I'm now out of contract and looking for an upgrade. After being a customer of Cellnet / BT Cellnet and O2 since 1997 I thought I'd give Retentions a call and see what they could offer, especially as I've been using a Nokia 106 since the spring when my previous phone was stolen!
Anyway they offered me a 16gb iPhone 6 with 5gb of data for £40 a month ( £20 handset, £20 tariff ) which included a £4 "loyalty discount"
So, I take a look online and see I can upgrade to a 64gb 6s for £47 a month ( £9.99 up front ) admittedly only with 1gb of data.
I asked retentions what discount they could offer on the 6s and they say that they can't offer any discounts at all at the moment.
My question is how long after the handsets actually start being delivered and available in the stores are O2 likely to start offering any kind of discount with Retentions or am I better just upgrading now?

The only time deals will be available for the 6s will either be after the iphone 2016 will be released i assume

You may be as well to upgrade now in my opinion.....I am not sure how soon O2 will be offering any deals with the 6...
