Guys and Gals,

I'm trying to restore a backup of my partners phone but it's coming up with the message Enter password for this backup, my brother certainly didn't set a password when he backed up on Sunday and the encrypt backup isn't ticked.

Any ideas to solve this as my partner has never backed up to iCloud and could lose her photos.

Thanks for any help Ross

It needs your original iTunes password that you first used with the phone you backed up from.

Yes unless it was changed from when the phone was originally activated?
Another option is to encrypt the back up now, which will ask you to set a password and will override the one it's set to now.
