Hello...

Just wondering... when o2 send replacement phones for phones under warranty, are they refurbs or just unboxed brand new phones???

I'm 2 months into a 30 month contract and want to insist upon a brand new phone (I'm not bothered about the box) but I'm not paying what I'm paying for a 2nd hand phone so need to get stern on the phone and wanted to check first slight_smile Thanks

Apple replacement devices are also refurbished.

No one replaces a used phone with brand new.

I spoke to Apple this eve and they said otherwise... they said they manufacture new phones specifically to be used as replacements and just come unboxed. It sounds shady though. I'm just going to have to stay going through o2 I think as I've started the process. I've learnt my lesson though.

@MercyWaters  @MI5 I have personally had my iPhone replaced with a brand new one in an Apple store. This was a 7 Plus so probably about 3 years ago now - it may have changed since then. Either way, I hope your replacement is with you soon!

Correct. By using old phones as parts bin.
