Receiving blank O2UK text when I switch on iPhone

Anonymous
Not applicable
I had a problem where my messages were missing when I switched on my iPhone 4. Now when I switch on the phone or do a reboot, I receive a blank, unheaded O2UK text.

The problem I have is that my messaging service only works after I have received this text ie Any messages sent to me via iMessage or text before the time stamp of this O2 text are never received.

I am fed up with resets and reboots!

Has anyone come across this since upgrading to IOS7?

Hi,

I've not had these issues since updating to iOS7 on my iPhone 5.

Have you contacted O2 Customer services to have your account checked over.

You could arrange to have your sim card replaced at an o2 shop.

The number is in the 'contact us' tab at the bottom of the page.

Thanks Bandofbrothers. Unfortunately, after spending 50 minutes on O2 chat last Saturday morning I still have not received a replacement SIM from O2 !!

I telephoned customer services on Wednesday afternoon and spoke with a very helpful rep. He suggested a full back up and restore. I did this, with some trepidation, but it does seem to have helped as I have only experienced the loss of messages once since.

Still remain disappointed that O2 can't get a SIM to me within a week though!

I seem to be having to call cs a number of times to get anything done just lately, too 😞
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

It is a conundrum.

When I've recently ordered SIMs myself I've received an e mail confirming despatch with the Sims arriving a day or so later. So around 3 working days.
