Well that was easier than I expected. More luck than anything else I think.

 

I called 202 at 8 am and they confirmed they could be ordered from 3pm.

 

I gave my local stoare a call at 1pm. they had just had a delivery of 1 of each model in each memory size. I asked them to hold on to the one I wanted while I drove to the store. 

 

45 mins later it was in my hands

 

Still havent had the email from O2 about availability !!!! Nothing new there then.

 

Who knows what its going to be like getting info from O2 when the new iPhone models come out in September ? No signs they have learnt from last year.
