Problems with sim

Hi all hope you can help, I've just bought a second hand iPhone 5s which is supposed to be with o2, when I put my sim card in it comes up with a signal but then says sim not recognised what do I do???

Could I ask where you bought the phone from? Was it  bought from a friend or off Ebay?.....

Have you got the correct sim for the phone? It takes a nano sim....

You may need to get it unlocked

Either you have put the sim in wrong or the phone is faulty.

Try SIM in another O2 phone if you can to test if it's the SIM that's faulty. If it works in there then try a SIM swap at an O2 store to check if it's the phone.

Trial and error but agree with MI5 above. It's one of the two I believe.

If its from eBay send it back rapid. In fact, if the sim is inserted correctly send it back to wherever you bought it....

I hope @Anonymous comes back. My first thought, as we see it so often, was that it may have come from Ebay...and as we know that rarely ends well
