Someone please help, o2 text me saying today would be porting and I should keep my phone off until 6pm. Lost complete signal on my old tesco mobile sim around 12am, but new o2 sim still comes up as "no sim". I can't use my old or new phone, when will porting be complete?? Anyone who's done porting to o2 recently how long did it take for you?

It can take up to 24 hours but is usually much quicker. Keep rebooting the phone with the new sim in until it connects to the network.

It should happen as Jonsie says.

If on the rare occasion service does not occur then give o2 a call to Customer Services ,just to ensure your account is ok.

The numbers are in the 'contact us' tab at the bottom of the page or ask Live Chat to check.

I'm sure all will be ok and you'll soon be able to start enjoying the service and your phone.

Take care.
