Phone call goes silent but stays connected

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi can somebody please help!

For a few weeks now whenever I make or recieve a call, the call goes silent about a minute or two in. The call stays connected and the person on the other end can hear everything but its complete silence at my end. I've tried rebooting and putting my sim in another handset. I have also checked the speakers and they work fine. I have a full signal everytime so I know its not that. My partner is experiencing exactly the same issues so we know its not the handset, I have an iphone 5C and my partner has an iphone 5S.

I have tried contacting O2 but to no avail as the call cuts out whilst im trying to get through to them.

Thanks in advance

P.s forgot to add we are both on IOS 9.1

Call CS from a landline to report it as you seem to have proven it to be a network issue http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
You can also report network issues through the My Network app http://www.o2.co.uk/apps/my-network

Hi @Anonymous Then take the advice given by @MI5 in the post above yours. It appears to be a network issue :slight_frown:

@Mike20

You'll need to call customer service.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.
