Phone as hotspot

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me - I am currently in France and want to do o some work on my pc , using my iphone as a hotspot. I have done this before, but this time the Hotspot’ option has completely disappeared from it’s usual place, under ‘settings’. Does anyone know how to get it to show up? I have plenty of data allowance.

Check your data apn is set to "idata.o2.co.uk"

Change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk" and see if that helps at all.

You need to change the data apn to idata as I said above.

Hotspot won't work unless it is set to idata.

You can't have both idata and mobile.
