I bought a O2 iPhone 6s from O2 on a monthly contract (upgrade) and they now claim that it cannot be unlocked, as they have not been given unlock tools by the Merchant (Apple)
Surely the guy on live chat was talking rubbish?
The T and Cs state that they will unlock iphones for free.
The phone is useless to me as I work overrseas quite a lot and need to use my work sim over there.
Phone was only bought a few days ago and never used, will they return it?

You have 14 days to return it for a full refund. O2 don't normally unlock iPhones until six months after release or if they're paid for in full.

O2 will not unlock he iPhone 6S for 6 months after purchase...or unless you pay off the device in full.. If you wanted an unlocked iPhone the only way you would get one is from Apple itself. CPW sell unlocked but will lock to the first sim inserted
