O2 Carrier Settings Update

I have an iPhone 5 on the latest iOS 7 software and literally just now, received a 'Update Carrier Settings' on my iPhone.

I clicked on 'Ok' and left it for 5 minutes and just now when I checked, the Carrier Settings show 15.6. I am sure, however, that this already showed 15.6?!

What are the latest Carrier Settings on the iPhone 5?

To the best of my knowledge, 15.6 is the latest carrier update from O2.

Is your iPhone a new phone or have you recently restored it? If it is a new phone or if you have recently restored it then the carrier settings and software will need to be updated.  Carrier settings are updated when you plug the phone into iTunes or if you go to settings>about and then a message will pop up asking you to update.

It is a little strange that you phone has told you about an update.  Maybe another member could offer more insight.......

Just to let you know, I just checked my phone and I already have the 15.6 carrier settings and there was no message to say that there was a carrier update.

...no - had my iPhone 5 since launch!  Haven't recently restored it nor connected to iTunes either?!

Must just be an odd quirk...!  Probably the same quirk which sometimes shows my Visual Voicemail as not working. When I exit the phone app and re-start it again, Visual Voicemail suddently springs back into life..!!

My upgrade is due this September - right when iPhone 6 will be due...!!Bouncy

Make sure you close your apps down properly (double click home button and swip upwards).

Have you ever tried to restore the phone?

Sometimes if there are a few blips then they disappear after a restore.  It's worth a try if the there are quite a few little blips.

Don't start me on the iPhone 6 - i'm dreaming about it already lol Bouncy

Hi,

15.6 is the most recent.

If another becomes available your iPhone will give you a pop up message or you can check whenever you want via settings > general > software update.

That option is the software update.

The carrier update will pop up in the settings>general>about section

The software update page only shows the software version, not the O2 carrier version.
