No service on New iPhone 5s

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I have set up my new iPhone 5s over 24 hours ago but there is still no service, I have tried to swap the sim but when I type in the my number I don't receive a code.

Any ideas?

Might be worth knowing I previously had an iPhone 4.

If you have no service on your original sim then the simswap is underway.

Try turning your phone off and on with your new sim inserted, to help re boot it.

If you dont get any joy then ring O2 on the numbers provided or it may be the new sim is faulty in some way.

If you pop into an O2 store they will be able to carry out a new simswap for you while you wait.

Hi.

Have you swapped via the online option.

http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk

Have you typed in the serial number of your new sim card.

The sim serial number (SSN) of your new sim - it’s printed on the back and is up to 19 digits.

You can text SWAP to 20220.

The service should stop on your old SIM card first.

If your concerned then ring O2 on 202 from an O2 powered phone or landline 0844 809 0202 > 5p / min

It asks you to type in your number first to verify its your phone, but with No service I cant receive the code, and therefore can't proceed to enter the sim number.

I spoke to an O2 guru, and they have activated my new SIM hopefully.
