No 3G or GPRS at all- iPhone 4 - help

Anonymous
Not applicable
I noticed yesterday that when I'm not connected to wi-fi my phone doesn't connect automatically to 3G or GPRS like it usually does. Some1 suggested I update to iOS 8 but when I go into software update it says my software is up to date on iOS 7.1.2? I can't find anything wrong or different in settings but cannot use banking, maps, email or anything if I'm not connected to wifi. Can anyone suggest anything?

The iP4 cannot be updated to 8 so you are as up to date as you can be.
Check if there are any local signal issues here first http://status.o2.co.uk/

Also just double check that you have 3G and mobile data enabled in your settings.

Press the sleep/ wake button and home button until the Apple logo appears and let go. This will reset your iPhone.

try : Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings.
