New sim wont activate

Hi,

May seem like a stupid question but i recently got the iphone 5s and gave my 4s to my little brother. We got a replacement sim from the o2 store for him to use in the 4s but it doesn't work in the phone it says there is no service. How do you find out the mobile number for the sim you were given? and does he need to top up before he gets service? All a bit confused!

Thanks

Just get a free PAYG sim off the link and put it in the phone.

It will activate immediately and the number will be printed on the big card the sim is attached to.

Go online to top it up and away you go slight_smile

Thank you both for dealing with all my silly questions! He's lost that old tmboile sim so we will have to order a new one. Thank you again for your help!!

You're welcome.

T Mobile can send out a replacement sim if he wants to retain his original t mobile number.

Then use it on t mobile or pac his number over to o2.

Or as said just start again with a new number on o2 payg.
