Hi,
May seem like a stupid question but i recently got the iphone 5s and gave my 4s to my little brother. We got a replacement sim from the o2 store for him to use in the 4s but it doesn't work in the phone it says there is no service. How do you find out the mobile number for the sim you were given? and does he need to top up before he gets service? All a bit confused!
Thanks

He just needs a SIM that will work in the iphone 4s. he had a tmobile number prior to this but lost that phone, along with the PAYG sim...
So i explained that to the man in the shop and he gave me a 'the pay and go replacement sim' which i've put into the phone and it hasn't recognised it...

Is the iphone unlocked to all networks to accept a t mobile sim card if he wants to stay on t mobile ?
If not you'll need to request an unlock as the o2 customer.
or just pick up a micro sim card for payg from the o2 shop. You will be asked to top up by £10.

Replacement sims are for existing customers.
He should of received a new pay as you go sim.
