New phone. 4G problems.

I hope this is in the right area. I just received my iPhone 6s and set it up and everything went fine. I get roughly between 3-5 bars on signal. But when I connect to mobile data. I get gprs and nothing else. It's a 4g contract before I got the contract I used the checker and it says i have good indoors and outdoors 4g. What should I do? I don't mind it because I have decent wifi indoors but I'm paying for 6gb of data for 4g and not being able to use it.

You probably are another customer on the wrong data bolt on.
Call CS on 202 and ask them to put you on iData.
It's a common mistake.
It can take upto 24 hours for it to kick in after you've called.

Also I did try to speak to o2 chat but when I type my number in it says "please enter a valid number"

Forget chat - they're not all that helpful.
Call the 202 number and you should get a UK call centre.

Also check that 4g is enabled in settings , mobile data , roaming options
