New Carrier update 24.1

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi All

I had a prompt to install new carrier settings at the weekend. My version is now O2 24.1. I have since noticed that it has removed the option to select 4G/3G/2G and replaced it with the old enable 4G toggle. I am really annoyed as I live in a marginal 3G area so often lock my phone to 2G when at home.

I hope this is reversed in a future update.

Graham.

I doubt apple will be interested. It's o2's update. Nothing to do with Apple. They did it before and everyone complained so you'd think they would learn!

They probably won't have a clue either.
A complaint needs to be made and forwarded to the relevant people who make these crazy decisions!

I have also lost the 4g, 3G, 2g toggle on the iPhone 6s+

If I also remember, Apple updated all their iPhones to have the toggle, so it's strange how it's come back.

Need Help, Just ask. We are one big Family here in the o2 Forum.
Use iPhone XS Max dual sim, SE, Honor 10, IPad Pro 11, Apple Watch 4 LTE, 100+ Mpbs Barrier and a Record Player.

Carriers can override the setting if they wish. It looks O2 have done this again for the 6S and 6S+. 😞

Anyone know who I could complain to that would understand what I am on about? So I can get this to the right people?

Cheers

I too have the same issue. I have the 6S, my boyfriend has the 6 and he has had the update now too and I have lost the toggle for 2G and 3G. I called CS and they told me I had to speak to Apple as it was nothing to do with them. Absolutely useless. I don't want to keep my 3G on all the time - they did this ages ago with the 5. Does anyone know if we can complain at all? Or if someone will be able to help?
