I have just got a new phone as above how do I activate the sim? Phone appears to be working but says no service top left screen so am guessing need to activate sim somehow?

Or, you already have a contract with o2 and you just need to swap to the new sim you can do it here

If you got the phone instore they would have activated it in there.

Do you you have a nano sim already? If you do then just pop that into the phone
