Help

How can I turn off that annoying activity wheel - I am sure it's eating into my battery life. Only had it since Io7 upgraded and it's driving me batty. I'm not a major league nerd (yet) as this i s my first i-phone.

Any answers - I tried Apple manuals (I know I can hear you all laughing from here ) to no avail. Like Apple want you to disable stuff. Don't know

It's a part of the iOS 7 to show it's computing.

It's not eating your battery life and cannot be toggled off.

You'll get used to it and after a short while not even notice it.

Network activity: When the network-activity icon appears in the status bar, network activity is occurring in the current app. The network-activity indicator will appear only for the following features or activities, when you're using the corresponding app:
Photo Stream uploads and downloads
Regular application downloads and updates from App Store and Newsstand
Automatic downloads (music, books, and applications)
iTunes Match downloads
Checking email
iCloud restores

If it's spinning all the time then Press the Top power button and Home Button together until the Apple Logo appears and then let go. This is a reset.

That's the problem - I have hardly set anyhting up yet. I followed the guides to disable locations settings etc for  battery savings and I am not a huge 'App' user. All I have is my Gmail, my bank and MyO2 app

As per my 1st reply it's nothing to read too much into.

It's not draining your battery but an indicator to what I've again pointed out in my 1st reply.

Look here ref tips for battery saving.

The best battery saving tip I give is.

Settings - General - Usage - Turn Off Battery Percentage !

And enjoy your iPhone. wink
