You could download the MY NETWORK App and report the mast to O2 that way if you believe your sim and phone are not at fault.

Hold the Top Button and Home Button until the Apple Logo appears, and then let go of both. Your iPhone will reset.

And or ;

Settings , General , Reset , Reset Network Settings.

Report it to O2, or make an appointment at an Apple shop and get the phone checked.

It's possible they know but haven't updated the site yet.

If it's just since you returned to your parents it definitely points to there being a mast issue in that area.

I'm not sure how you could report a lack of signal using an app that needs a signal in that area, in order to work!

The phone will store the feedback, then send it to O2 once coverage has returned.

The app can also be used over a WiFi connection.

That's useful to know, I haven't looked at it much.
