Need a bit more problem definition please.
How are you attaching pics, who is email provider, what are your smtp settings, mobile data or wifi etc?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Go into the photos app. Bring up the photo you want to send, click on the share button (the square with the arrow on), then select mail. This will fire up the mail app and the photo will be in the new mail.
