This morning I have opened my iphone 7 to use, as I keep my phone locked with a passcode. after about 3 minutes it shuts down and goes back to the passcode page. when I put in my passcode it has closed the app I was working on and gone back to the home page.
I has been doing this now for 2 hours!
Any tips
Nothing has happened to it in the night? and it was working correctly yesterday.
many thanks Trudy

I’d like to know this too as I have the 7 Plus on 11.1.2 & I’m not seeing any problems pertaining to this apparent issue

Though 3 iPhone users posting about the same issue on the same day? All a bit coincidental. Then of course we have those who aren't posting here.....

Mine is also doing this for no reason; it's driving me crazy. I have tried everything, including a full reset.

@Anonymous can you confirm this is the Iphone going into sleep mode and asking for the passcode to open it back up? and not other passwords being requested ?

Yes that's right. It's as if it is half shutting down as the loading dial comes on and then it requests my phone password. It is doing it every 2 mins as I am browsing.

So I'm counting 4 people this has happened to today..and all before midday (or thereabouts) ...
Why don't people ring Apple and see if they have a reported problem....(Not treading on toes here...but If it was
happening to me and others I would be checking it out with the manufacturer) https://support.apple.com/en-gb/contact

https://discussions.apple.com/message/32655769#message32655769 One user says the reset all settings fixes it. Worth a try .
