Hello there,
I have a pay monthly contract with o2 with and iphone 4. I am however moving to New Zealand at the begining of next year, so will have to cancel my contract with o2 and pay the phone off (which is all fine). But since i am paying for the phone i want to take it with me to NZ and purchace a New Zealand sim card to use in the phone. I undertand from reading around i will probably need to get my phone unlocked with O2 to be able to use a NZ sim card but i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me as to how best i go about doing this?
Any help will be much apprecaited!
Thanks very much for your help!

Fill out the unlock form.
https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form
its free for 02 contract customers.

Most new phones have the frequency bands to work on most networks.
Check the frequency of your phone by googling its specs and then check the network you want to use.

JUst fill out the o2 unlocking form and request it is unlocked now http://service.o2.co.uk/IQ/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=Companion,question=ref(User):str(Mobile),C...
Just give o2 30 days notice to end the contract before you leave the uk but ensure you do not cancel direcrt debit until a zero bill

Also cancel any bolt ons or insurance before paying off the contract.
Good luck in your new adopted country.
