Dial 1710 free from your O2 phone and ensure it's properly disabled. If it still persists after you've checked it's disabled there, call customer services to raise a fault.

The two systems work side by side. The text alert service is there to notify you when you have missed a call while your phone was switched off, out of signal range or while you were on another call - and the caller didn't leave you a voicemail.

If you want it switched off entirely - you can call 202 and ask them to switch it off, as it sounds like you're having trouble disabling the service.

Dial 1760 should disable the text alert. If you then want voicemail only 1750.

Can you tell me where this voicemail mailbox settings can be found? I've been having the same problem and I have contacted O2 at least 10 times. They tell me the text alerts have been stopped but they never are!

Thanks

That's great, I thought I would never get this fixed. Thanks a lot.
