Hi All I am using an Iphone 5 and have voicemail on but when I get a missed call I keep getting a text message telling me about it I have tried to switch it off but it says its already off and as far as I know you can only have either or does anyone know how to stop this

Thanks everyone it is hidden within the voicemail mailbox setting menu manged to switch it off now

Thanks tried that already and all it says it please hold while we switch on your call alert service so it must be off just cant understand how both that and voicemail are running at the same time

The two systems work side by side. The text alert service is there to notify you when you have missed a call while your phone was switched off, out of signal range or while you were on another call - and the caller didn't leave you a voicemail.
If you want it switched off entirely - you can call 202 and ask them to switch it off, as it sounds like you're having trouble disabling the service.

Dial 1760 should disable the text alert. If you then want voicemail only 1750.
