Loyalty Payback (iPhone 6 And 6+)

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

Just wanted to let people know about O2 Loyalty Payback, As I only found out by ring and asking wheres my iPhone 6+. Basically if you have to wait more than 8 days for your phone to arrive you will be given the cost of your airtime back for that period.

Number of days waited from date of order Amount of airtime credit applied to bill when phone arrives

For Customer waiting 7 daysNo credit is applied
For Customer waiting 8 days8 days of credit is applied
For Customer waiting 9 days9 days of credit is applied
For Customer waiting 42 days42 days of credit is applied
For Customer waiting 43 days42 days of credit is applied

So I'm guessing people on the iPhone 6+ will be the biggest claimants of this scheme.

Is this a big enough bonus to keep people waiting on O2 or should they be doing more.

Let me know what you think.

At least they are offering some sort of payback but for me it wouldn't be enough to justify the stress, anger and frustration you are all no doubt feeling.

No, you just get AIRTIME credit based on the example above.

Ok thanks for the info. I'm still confused as I paid to upgrade early, which cost me £140 pus £30 for the handset.... So they'll only refund me the money they've already taken off me for a service they can't supply? If so that isn't compensation. I've paid them up front for something they can't supply.

Crazy isn't it - I guess you could try for a goodwill gesture (!) once you receive the phone but they'll likely hide behind the fact that the T&C's say that delivery can be up 30 days......

I think that's appauling. They're potentially looking after new customers better than the people that have been with them for years
