Lost contacts on Iphone

On Saturday, all my contacts dissapeared from my Iphone, is there any way of getting them back , I did not have them backed up anywhere.

You can try connecting to itunes and restore but if they aren't backed up there or to the cloud it may be that they are lost forever.

Thank you for your response, my husband & I are both connected to cloud, he tried to retrieve them for me that way & it gave me all his contacts but none of mine:-/, looks like they are gone:-(

Do you have separate cloud accounts, he may have gone to the wrong one?

That's a shame. It would only work if you had connected previously and backed up. Once you have re-entered them, open up your own itunes account and back them up to the cloud. It's a long and painful process finding and entering them again.

Just a thought, did you have a previous phone's contacts backed up to google or microsoft office etc.?

Thank you for your response kind people, i'm afraid i did not back my contacts up, i tried retieving them from my sim but nothing happened, my icloud account is a joint one at the moment , only just joined but i will definately take the time to get my own account & back up my contacts, never happened to me before:-/

If your using a mac they may be in your contacts app.
