I recently upgraded my iPhone 6 plus tariff from 3GB data on 4G to 6GB on 4G. I received a new sim which I installed as per instructions only to find that I can no longer receive 4G. I queried this with my local O2 shop, who tried various options and eventually told me they could not help and I should go to Apple, even though their diagnostic test found no fault with my phone. I asked if they would reverse the upgrade and they said no. So I am now paying an increased amount for a slower service (i.e. 3G not 4G). This treatment can't be right, surely? Do I really have to return my fault-free phone to Apple? Help!

Thanks for your comments. I checked with O2 and it seems that my account was incorrectly updated with talk of date incompatibility complete with a mention of Blackberry, so looks like you were right! Many thanks.

Not too impressed with the O2 shop telling me to return my phone to Apple!

I was missing 4G after changing to Sim only package. Having read through this post I went online this afternoon and used the web chat.
Got straight through and told them I had read this thread and could they check my settings, 2 minutes and a restart later, 4G up and running.
Just goes to show, the system does work sometimes.

Although this is an iPhone related thread it has solved my Blackberry 4G issue, so wanted to share in case some poor Blackberry user (I am sure there is someone else apart from me using Blackberry still!) is suffering the same and stumbles on this post.
I have been on 4G O2 tariffs for 3 years using 4G Blackberry handsets and never had 4G signal on the device. Tried everything from new sim cards to even new phones (had 3) and no joy. Spent hours on the phone to tech support, in store and on chat as well as browsing the net and no joy.
Ever the optimist did a search and came across this thread today. Had the Blackberry bolt on removed from my account and within minutes (after a restart of the device) I had 4G.
Thanks for the suggestions in this post!

I am praying this will work for me. I am now on the KEYone but I cannot get 4G on any high end device and never have been able to. Now asking O2 if there is a bolt-on my account, likely given I have always had Blackberrys.

They've added 'BB managed services' for me... isn't this exactly what I wanted removed not added?
I'm using a KEYOne
