Currently with EE using SIM card in an iPhone 11 Pro Max. Is it possible to add a new o2 pay monthly contract as a second line via eSIM, or do you have to join o2 with a SIM card and then transfer it to an eSIM?

Thanks in advance...

Yes you can but I'd advise going in store to do it so you can explain what you need.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Hi @Umiamz

If you are looking to take out a new contract with O2, then it will depend on the device you select as to whether they are capable of carrying an esim

Currently these are supported..

iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL have both a plastic sim card slot and an eSIM. More phones will be added in 2019.
