Iphone 4 will not let me hear incoming callers unless i use my speaker phone

Can any help my new (may 2013) Iphone 4 will not let me hear any callers unless i put them on speaker phone or listen thru headphones. they can hear me fine please can anyone help me with this

Hi.

Make sure the volume button on the side is turned up and any protective shield has been removed or one that you may have applied yourself is not fouling the speakers.

Go
Into settings , general , accessibility and make sure the default is chosen for incoming calls.

Press the top power button and home button together until the Apple Logo appears and then let go. This will reset the iPhone.

If that and or an iTunes restore {make sure you do a back up first }do not resolve then use thus link to arrange an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar.

also check for fluf in the headphone socket try inserting the supplied headphones a few times
