Ipad Connection to Personal Hotspot on Iphone whilst in France and Switzerland

When I first contracted with O2 my Ipad could connect to my Iphone's Personal Hotspot when I was in France and Switzerland as it does in the UK.   After about three months (Julne/July 2016) I could no longer do it and was told that O2 no longer permitted that to happen.  I am now told after 15 June 2017 I will be able to access it again.  Is that right?

@MI5 Good question! Unfortunately MBB data is UK only, not EU.

I teather my iPad to my iPhone all the time in the UK as it's easier to see as I have poor eyesight. I am unable to do this abroad even though I have o2 Travel enabled. It's my data and surely it's up to me how I use it. Telling me I can use my phone abroad as I do at home is misleading. I'm an unhappy customer to say the least.

Well we are 2 months in now with the new EU legislation and so many customers are unhappy. O2 really need to address this.
