Ipad Connection to Personal Hotspot on Iphone whilst in France and Switzerland

Anonymous
Not applicable

When I first contracted with O2 my Ipad could connect to my Iphone's Personal Hotspot when I was in France and Switzerland as it does in the UK.   After about three months (Julne/July 2016) I could no longer do it and was told that O2 no longer permitted that to happen.  I am now told after 15 June 2017 I will be able to access it again.  Is that right?

I expect tethering will be available after June 15th. It wouldn't make sense not to allow it if, as they say, use your phone as you would at home.

We haven't been told if tethering will be allowed after June 14th but if live chat told you that I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

I agree, much better to call customer service rather than use live chat.

i can still use my personal hotspot just fine, i can connect to my laptop and stuff when on the move! i have had no issues with tethering,,,, to be honest i cant see the issue, your paying for that data its upto you how you use it, once its used the money o2 make with data bolt on's is absurd! so surley its in o2's best interest to allow pH to continue for tethering!
