IPhone 5s and signal strength

Anonymous

Is it a common problem for 5s users to suffer from very low to non existentvsignal strength when compared to even a 5c which my wife owns . Am so fed up with poor signal from o2 but wonder if any of this is attributable to the phone itself. Thanks

Apple will check the phone for you if you have any doubts.

Have you tried your sim in your wife's. Phone to rule out a faulty SIM card

Do you have a heavy duty case or anything on your iPhone as this could be blocking the signal, otherwise log a support request on Apple's website and they will request to run some remote diagnostics which should help if there are any issues

Are you both on the same contract type? ie both 4G?

Thanks for the replies and yes we are both on o2 and both phones should access 4g but needless to say neither of us gets such access. Have booked a call to Apple. Trouble is apple will blame o2 and they will blame apple!

In fairness Apple are pretty good with repairs or advice. You also have a example of one phone working perfectly and the other not. I would ring Apple support and see what they say...
