IPhone 11 Pro significantly slower LTE performance than a Pixel 4 - LTE Advanced not supported?

I have an iPhone 11 Pro and recently tested out an unlocked Google Pixel 4 on the same SIM. When using the O2 SIM on the Pixel it noted it was on "4G+" which I understand is also known as 'LTE Advanced'.

Using the same Speed Test app on the iPhone and Pixel, it showed a reliable 3-4x faster download and upload speed on the Pixel than the iPhone in the same location.

Is this because the Pixel 4 supports more of the LTE bands O2 uses than the iPhone 11 Pro?

@YaBoi

iPhone 11 is rated CAT16 for LTE- A, whereas the Pixel 4 is rated CAT 18.
This gives the Pixel a theoretical advantage of around 180mbps for download speeds (dependent on network capability).

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
