I complained in an O2 store today that the iPad cellular cannot be used in Europe, unlike a 3 sim. The rep said I could use a sim in Europe eg France but I had to switch to a small business user for the period and then cancel. Can anyone confirm and How do I find the business tariffs? Thanks, Mark

You can't just switch between business and consumer tariffs at will. They both come with a minimum term that must be completed before you can change without charges.
The best way around it is a PAYG big bundle SIM which will allow you to use the data included whilst in any EU country.
Bundle options here https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards/pay-as-you-go#simtype=bigbundles

But a big bundle is for the phone or does it work in the iPad?
Thanks

I am already on contract with iPad though and it has a 2 gig per month plan but I was told in store it would not work in Europe.
As I never tried it in Europe I guess I just have to switch on data roaming as I have APN set as you suggested. Do you think it will work?
Thank you for your help.
