Make sure you perform a back up to iTunes and iCloud before downloading the new iOS.

I always recommend performing the iOS update via iTunes.

It's a smaller file and a faster update IMO.

It's also worth Checking blogs such as iClarified and iDownloadblog to
See if any bugs have been reported.

It seems the GM release has some stuttering on animations.

And in the iPad the scrolling is laggy.

Hopefully this will be resolved on the public release. Although the GM version is typically that !
