Can you tell me what an IMEA number is? I have lost my phone and have to let the rail services know this nuumber.

Its am IMEI number and can be found in My O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

Make sure you report the loss to O2 asap then you will only be liable for charges made up to £100 by whoever has your device
