It's possibly a credit check. Once accepted you should get the contract by email and clicking on the links confirms that you accept the terms. Once the phone is despatched you will receive a tracking number by email. Until then it's just waiting.
Customer service will tell you the status of your order as to whether it's been accepted or in the referral stage.
