When trying to scan a qr code it does not seem to work (it isn't recognising a code). Also, when it says to type it in manually, this doesn't seem to be possible since the keyboard only has numbers attached to it, you can't type in letters of the alphabet. So I can't scan in any qr code either manually or electronically. Any advice please?

I use Barcode scanner which scans both bar codes and QR codes on Android.
Red Laser does the same job on ios software

To the original poster kelsala
1 What were you trying to scan
2 What app were you using (o2 do not do a qr reader)
3 What was it meant to do
The more info you provide we can help you
QR Codes are explained here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QR_Code no accompaning numbers or letters
Barcodes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Product_Code numbers only
Or are you trying to set up wifi from a qr code equipped router? if so the passcode below cannot be entered into a qr reader but can be entered when prompted by the handset.
Just depends on what you are doing or trying to acheive.

I was under the impression qr codes were pictal bar codes no numbers or letters involved. I though it was just a impressive modern art piece which can be read as data.

That's the one I have, no QR Codes have no numbers, I was thinking of bar codes!
