How do I unlock my phone after closing down my tariff?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Just moved to Australia so closed down my o2 contract, paid it all off etc and have an Aus SIM card to put in the handset. I'm trying to unlock my phone so the new SIM card will work and I can't work out how to do it. On the o2 website it says "The only way to unlock your phone is by using My O2 online or via the main menu of the My O2 app." So I click on the first link and the page it takes me to has nothing about unlocking your phone on it. I then download the app, try to sign in and it wont let me because I've already closed my tariff. Can't for the life of me work out how to do it so would appreciate some help. Cheers

I would use live chat and ask them to process the unlock for you or try submitting the manual form
https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
