Hi All,

Has anyone pre-ordered from Apple for in store pick up before?

It's the first time I have bought direct from Apple. I have a 'Check-in window' of 08:00-08:15 and was wondering do I just get there at 8, walk straight in and get my phone or will I have to get there early and queue up?

Hi, the good news? I don't care you're asking on an o2 forum about the new iPhone lol just ignore the first reply it's irrelevant. The bad news? Lol there'll be people queuing to pick up their iPhone probably starting on Wednesday, seriously lol check YouTube for past events. The likelihood of you turning up at 8am and getting the phone before 4pm is slim at best. But saying that you might be lucky enough to live in an area where iPhone isn't that popular. In reality it's always best to pre order these for delivery to you house or place of work to avoid the ridiculous fan boy queue. It's not unknown to have people set up a tent outside a store a whole week in advance just to save their space in the queue.

It seems Apple are not letting people walk in and get one without a pre order this year, so I'm hoping it won't be too bad!! Smiley Frustrated

I'll let you know how it goes.

I think you'll find that Apple want dozens or even hundreds queuing up outside their shops and letting them in slowly in small batches......it's part of the hype strategy that is incorporated in the Apple brand advertising campaign.

@Toby Other that seriously regretting my colour choice, Great!

I ordered the Jet Black 128Gb (not plus) and now I'm fretting over it getting scratched, so I should have gone for the matte black!

Oh well, A launch day iphone is better than waiting weeks for it so I can't complain!
