Group messages not being received on iphone 3g or Galaxy S3

Hi, both my wife and myself have pay monthly contracts with O2, but neither of us can receive texts when they are sent to us as part of a group from a friend on 3. It's a small group and related to health updates on our friend who is undergoing cancer treatment.

If he sends us individual texts - no problem, but not when our names are on his group list. My wife has a Galaxy S3 - so different phone, same problem.

Any ideas?

Cheers

I'm not sure if three have a limit on the number of people in a group, or, it's possible it's been sent as an MMS and your phones not set up to receive them ?

Ask your friend to check his message app and to turn off "Auto MMS Conversion" in settings if it's ticked.

Sounds like a problem with the way the messages are been sent. Is your friend using an app to text with?

I should add that no-one else on his contacts list has any problem in receiving, just us!
