If you have a Apple store within travelling distance it will be worth the extra effort to take it there. Make an appointment and you will probably walk out with a new phone.

Has this problem just started to happen or has it been a long term issue? I'm inclined to think its a lens issue, perhaps there from the time of manufacture or from some form of shock that the iPhone has been subjected too.

I agree with jonsie re the Apple Store. Their service is outstanding and I can imagine you getting your iPhone replaced a lot quicker and easier than if you go to the O2 store.

Just ring the Apple Store up that you are wanting to go to, explain the problem and book a Genius Bar appointment for a convenient time.
