Facebook tap to post not working

I have since getting my iPhone 5, been able to use the Facebook tap to post feature in the Notification Centre. But its a little while since using it last and I don't know when the problem started.

Basically when I swipe down the Notification Centre, and then touch the tap to post for Facebook, I get the following shown:

However, the Facebook app works fine. Also the tap to tweet for Twiiter in the Notification Centre works fine too.

I've tried deleting my Facebook account off of my iPhone, deleted the Facebook app, turned the iPhone off and then back on, re-installed the app and logged in, but the problem is still there.

I've also tried the Facebook tap to post in the Notification Centre on my iPad and I have the same problem on there too.

Is any one else experiencing this problem?

I expect its just a temporary issue with either Apple and or Facebook, I was just curious to see if others are experiencing the same issue as me.

With my old account stopping working, I deleted the old account off of my iPhone and entered the new account I'd created the other day, to see if that account would work ok, and this account lets me tap to post. Its all very strange

Well we found what seems to be the main problem being the mobile number.

Have you tried saving your number to your account again?

This is certainly frustrating:(

Yeah I've just added it again, but the problem is still there.

I'm going to try logging in on my friends iPhone tonight, but I can't see this making any difference has I tried doing the same on my mams iPhone yesterday and I got the same error, its really strange how it works sometimes and not others.

Agreed.

I can't think of anything that could of changed between it working and failing.

Out of interest are you using a DNS type wifi connection?

Just wonder if differing IP addresses is at fault.

Or is the same issue present on 3G/wifi regardless?

Not sure how I would know/check if I had a DNS type wifi?

I tried to post on 3G but still get the same problem.

Sorry badly worded it would be the router that would set if its DNS or not. (Only way I know to check is to go into your routers security settings and look)

However if its the same on 3G blows another theory out of the water:(

Its working again now, on both the iPhone and iPad
