The duplicate transaction issue was down to the bank and not an issue with iOS or Apple Pay. A fix should be forthcoming at the bank's end

Yes, that's what it says in the original link I posted, but a glitch nonetheless. You would have thought that they would have done a few dummy runs before going live though. I only posted it to make everyone aware. Didn't know it wasn't available in the UK yet. I suppose they're waiting for the UK banks to come on board. Maybe the banks here are looking to see how the launch goes in the US before launching here, which would actually be a sensible thing to do.
