Drowned iPhone 6

Anonymous
Not applicable

My 16 year old daughter managed to drop her three month old iPhone 6 in the loo at a party last night (gah!!!).

She says it worked initially then the screen went zigzaggy & died. I've removed the sim (which was damp) and am drying the phone on a very low heat in my vegetable dessicator (I googled, better than the rice trick apparently).

I suspect the electricky bits are fried but is there any hope of repair?

Alternatively, she still has her old iPhone 5 - can her current account be transferred back to her old phone, will she need another sim?

Many thanks,

Exasperated Mother

Or you can pick up an xperia Z3 for around 200 quid now.
Waterproof and faster btw

Or a Samsung A5 much better, faster, & you can have a lot of freedom to personalise your phone

Or....you could let her keep her old iPhone and tell her to save up for her own replacement. An expensive lesson to learn.... #just saying

Same here, daughter messed up her Nokia and proceeded to beg me to let her have my old iphone 4.
Cleaned off the plaster off it, and cleaned it up real nice.
Told her, you break this, it's the last phone I get you.
She broke it, obliterated the screen glass.
So I done no more than put clear packing tape over the glass and handed it back.
Upgrade time came and you should have seen the drama....
