Data disappeared

hi guys
My billing date is usually the 28th of every month.
I am currently abroad and have been for the last 4 weeks.
My data renewed yesterday and on checking this morning and I have only just over 1GB left.
The thing is all data roaming and cellular data is switched off and I only use wifi at the place we're staying and the phone is in airplane mode ever since I have been here. Tried ringing up but can't get through and chat is a waste of time.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Will try calling again tonorrow

It's because your phone hasn't connected to the network so the allowances haven't updated.
It's an anomaly that has been noticed before.

Correct me if I'm wrong when I'm back in the U.K. It should update as it should? Been worried like anything thinking I'm going to have some unexpected charges.

Yes it will update as it should back in the UK and if the mobile data has been off and in flight mode there should be no charges.
