'Cannot Get Mail' message

Anonymous

When I click mail icon on iPhone 4S I get a message saying 'Cannot Get Mail

as the mail server 'pop.freeserve.co.uk' is not responding'.

However my GMail works OK.

Any ideas why this is so?

Could be the server is down or your settings are wrong....

I didn't realise Freeserve accounts still existed. Is it now run by Orange?

If yes, then it may have become inactive. I know someone with a very old fsnet.co.uk account which does this every 250 days approx, and you need to go through some hard to find procedure to re-activate the account.

Yes many years ago they were called Freeserve, then Wanadoo, then Orange and now Everthing Everywhere.

Having said that my user name still uses 'freeserve' in the thread!!
