Losing my patience with o2...
For months now i have been having problems with making and receiving calls, as well as sending text messages.
I have spoken to O2 numerous times and they just tell me there is maintenance in the area and it won't take long to go back to normal...3 month maintenance?
After that i get told to install some app which will use my wifi to make calls. This doesn't help me when i'm on the road and trying to make calls for work.
I've done all the troubleshooting such as turning 4g off, resetting network settings, taking the sim card out and putting it back in. Nothing works.
I just get the automated messages saying to try again in a few hours when the maintenance is complete.
Anybody else has this issue and found a fix?
Surely this falls under the whole 'not fit for purpose' sector?

Hi @Anonymous
This must be an absolute nightmare. You seem to have done all the troubleshooting you can..
Not sure I can personally recommend anything other than make a complaint?

If so, you need to check either phone or sim as one or the other is faulty.
O2 will give you a new sim or try yours in another phone and see where the problem is.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

Sounds like faulty sim to me, ask O2 for a new sim but remember to make sure you ask for a contract sim or a payg as they are 2 different types

The symptoms you describe point to a sim or phone issue. Obviously the sim is the first thing to check. Do you have another phone you can try it in. If the problem is happening on the road you will at least know if it's a sim or phone issue.
